Patron Technology Takes on Austin with SXSW Session
PITTSBURGH, PA
Patron Technology, the industry-leading event technology solution, is poised to share its technology and expertise at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival. As the event technology powerhouse seizes the opportunity to participate in SXSW’s culture of collaboration and discovery of emerging trends, conference and festival attendees will see Patron Technology’s team members and its suite of event technology products throughout the Austin area this month.
Patron Technology’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Jason Mastrine, is slated to moderate an official SXSW session titled, “Pop-Ups: Designing for Emotional Experiences” on Friday, March 8 at 5:00 PM, featuring Color Factory’s Jeff Lind, Burning Man’s Rebecca Throne, and Brooklyn Museum’s Christopher Voss. They will explore the origins of these temporary art events, and compare and contrast how they’ve excelled in creating emotional journeys for fans, attendees, and participants.
Regarding the panel, Mastrine said, “We’ve been extremely successful in the growing space of timed entry exhibits and temporary art events of all kinds, so of course we jumped at the opportunity to share the stage with Rebecca, Jeff, and Chris in a collaborative environment such as SXSW.”
Patron Technology will also have its hand in multiple parties and events surrounding this year’s SXSW festivities, including sponsoring the 9th Annual Lucy’s South By South Austin Fried Chicken Revival, a five-day event featuring a packed daily lineup of live music. Patron Technology’s suite of event technology products, including ShowClix and Thuzi, will also be supplying cashless RFID solutions and interactive photo stations at each event, and providing the event ticketing for Plum Creek Sound’s “From The Hills With Love,” an intimate festival experience held at Israel Nash’s Hill Country ranch.
