Leap Event Technology Partners with SBX for The Smurf Experience’s Debut in North America

DALLAS, TX

DALLAS, TX – November 21, 2024Leap Event Technology announced today they are now the official ticketing provider for The Smurf Experience in North America, following its record success in Europe with over 2 million attendees. In partnership with the SBX Group, Leap’s enterprise-ticketing system TicketLeap Pro (formerly ShowClix) will facilitate the ticket sales of this attraction’s multi-city tour across the United States and Canada in early 2025.

Originally designed by Belgium-based agency Cecoforma alongside the Smurf parent entity Peyo Company, The Smurf Experience has now partnered with the SBX Group to tailor this micro theme park to North American audiences. “Across Europe, millions have delighted in the experience we have created. Now we are thrilled to partner with SBX to bring this attraction to a new audience in the USA and allow them to interact with the Smurfs in an entirely new way as never before,” said Cecoforma CEO, Stéphan Uhoda. This endeavor also coincides with Paramount’s highly-anticipated Smurfs movie, scheduled to be released in July 2025.

In this immersive experience, attendees have the opportunity to “shrink down” to Smurf size and explore the magical world of the Smurfs. This 13,000-square-foot attraction is jam-packed with hands-on activities for the whole family, such as obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, immersive VR adventures, and meet-and-greets with Smurf characters. “Following the tremendous success of The Smurf Experience in Europe, where it brought sell-out crowds, we’re thrilled to bring this iconic attraction to the United States. The Smurfs have a rich legacy as a beloved and globally recognized brand, with over six decades of history that continues to capture imaginations across the world,” said SBX President and Chairman, David Dube.

More specifically, they will be utilizing TicketLeap Pro, Leap’s enterprise-level ticketing solution that’s used by some of the world’s most iconic events in sports and entertainment.
