Our Interview with Ariana
From intern to full-time employee, Ariana shared with us what she loves about Leap and why she’s passionate about her work with search engine optimization (SEO).
How did you first get connected with Leap? What drew you to want to work here?
It all started when I was looking for an internship role during my last year of university. Funny enough, I saw a job posting on Zip Recruiter for an SEO intern on Leap’s marketing team, and that was right up my alley. I already knew I loved SEO from the college courses I was taking, and my degree was in marketing. After taking a deep dive on the company website, I quickly knew that this was an environment I wanted to be in. The company is filled with live event enthusiasts who appreciate the work they do. I had a really good feeling that I would fit right in, considering I love live events!
Side note: I ended up taking a 13-hour SEO LinkedIn learning course specifically for this interview because I needed to land this!

Tell us about what your experience was like working at Leap as an intern. Do you have advice you’d like to share for future interns?
As an intern, I learned a lot really fast, in the best way possible. I had a lot of knowledge on SEO and marketing, but never executed it. I really appreciated that Leap allowed me to be hands-on in the work I was doing – even as an intern – because it made everything click for me. I was able to put the skills I learned into action and see how it impacted a business.
My advice for future interns is not to be afraid to make mistakes. Those mistakes will help refine you and make for great (and funny) lessons in the future.
What are your primary responsibilities in your current role as SEO Analyst?
Simply put, my role is to make sure that the people who are looking for what we offer can easily find us online (and find us first). I ensure that Leap’s websites are optimized for search engines so that Google, Bing, etc. can easily crawl, index, and rank our websites in search results. After all, every SEO’s dream is to be ranked #1 in search results!
To ensure Leap’s websites rank on the first page for anyone searching for event solutions, I’m responsible for the strategy and implementation of numerous components, including keyword research, logical site structure, blog content creation, and monthly analyses. The strategies used each week are the same, but because the search landscape is always changing, it’s important for me to keep up with it.
What’s a project you’ve worked on at Leap that you’re particularly proud of?
I would say it would be the review campaigns I’ve launched for Leap. Like I just mentioned, I love seeing a project through from start to finish, and this one in particular ended with a positively radiant collection of reviews from users who adore Leap. It truly makes us happy seeing our clients happy, and I’m glad that I was able to get those testimonials out there for anyone else to see that we can help with their events!
Seeing that you got to work onsite at an event with Leap in 2024, what was that like? What did you learn from the experience?
It’s an absolute blast. The team feeds off of each other’s energy, and it really makes for a lively atmosphere. I learned how hard our event operations team works at these events. From set up to tear down, they are like Dauntless from Divergent. This team can handle anything, and they’ll make you laugh the entire time. I’m eager to go back on site again!

What do you like most about working at Leap Event Technology?
I enjoy the autonomy in my work. I truly get to shape and impact my marketing channel with my own expertise. There’s nothing like executing a project from start to finish and seeing the results you helped to shape from the beginning. My team trusts me, and I trust them. The ability to truly shape my channel and impact results makes working at Leap exciting while also giving me a place to express my creativity.
What do you appreciate the most about working in a completely remote environment?
There are so many positives here. I’m extremely productive, and there’s no extra chit-chat to get in the way. The one thing I appreciate the most is that I don’t have to follow a schedule when it comes to eating! The flexibility of working hours is an awesome plus too. Especially as life stuff inevitably happens, Leap works with me to figure it out.
I will also say that since we are completely remote, we come together for virtual company-wide events throughout the year (like our Holiday Trivia Party or Company Talent Show). At these events, we are all immersed in the experience and connect with each other during these times way more than you might think. We all look forward to sharing those experiences together, and they are a lot of fun.
What’s a fun fact about you that most people wouldn’t know?
I’ve worked as an extra on a movie set! Try to imagine your favorite movie or show without any background characters in it. Weird, right? While the goal of this job is to go unnoticed, those people in the background are an extremely important part in setting a scene!
It was definitely long hours, including one night shoot where I ended up being awake for 24 hours straight. My favorite part was hearing the producers yell “Rolling!” and “That’s a wrap!”
